Welcome to Young Life!

75+ years ago Young Life started right here in Texas, thanks to a young seminary student who believed that “kids have a right to know the truth about a relationship with Jesus Christ.” Jim Rayburn believed that kids need adults who love Jesus, love them and aren’t afraid to walk with them through the volatile years of adolescence. We have a vision to reach every kid across the Lone Star State.

The Young Life Lone Star Region exists to provide leadership for the Young Life areas that comprise it. Although Young Life exists in communities that are different from one another, Young Life's purpose is the same: we want to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.

COLOSSIANS 1:27-29 (The Message)

The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing in God’s glory. It’s that simple. That is the substance of our Message. We preach Christ, warning people not to add to the Message. We teach in a spirit of profound common sense so that we can bring each person to maturity. To be mature is to be basic. Christ! No more, no less. That’s what I’m working so hard at day after day, year after year, doing my best with the energy God so generously gives me.
